Aftercare for Your Lashes
Lash Lifts are a low maintenance procedure, however, there is a little extra care required.
Be gentle with your lashes; avoid rubbing eyes or pulling/stretching eyelids.
Avoid getting lashes wet for at least 24-48 hours.
Avoid sweat and steam for 24-48 hours.
No harsh products or cleansers for at least 24-48 hours.
No eye makeup or mascara for at least 24-48 hours.
Never use a lash curler after a lash lift. Doing so may cause damage to your natural lashes and/or breakage.
No lash growth serum or lash boosters for at least 48 hours.
It is recommended to refrain from using waterproof mascara after a lash lift. Waterproof mascaras are extremely drying and damaging to the lashes.
After 24 hours, start using your Keratin Lash Conditioner (morning or night, or BOTH!) This will keep your lashes soft and healthy during the life of your lift.
Keratin Lash Conditioner conditions, hydrates, and strengthens your lashes.
It is recommended that you do not sleep on your lashes. Your lashes may bend if heavy pressure is applied during the night on a regular basis.
Brush your lashes every every morning after you wash your face, to encourage a consistent curl pattern and better grow out.
Do not use heavy oils (coconut or castor oil) as they may weigh your lashes down.
Expectations While Your Lashes Are Lifted
Lash Shedding is NORMAL.
You will shed on average about 1-5 lashes per day and your lashes will not look the same for the entirety of the lash lift. As your lifted lashes shed, and new, straight lashes will grow in, it will gradually change the shape/look of your lift. Lash shedding is a natural and healthy part of the hair growth process and should not be cause for alarm
Your lash lift may not last as long every time you get them done. It depends on where you are in your lash growth cycle, which is generally anywhere between 6-8 weeks.
If you have a lot of new lashes growing in, your lift will grow out quickly.
If you use a lash growth serum, do NOT just stop cold turkey- you will shed A LOT.
You may have 2-3 weeks of lifted and straight lashes mixed together.
You cannot have your lashes lifted as soon as you notice they are not perfectly lifted anymore. This is a chemical service and you need to preserve the integrity of your lashes. Allow at least 6 weeks in between scheduling your lash appointments.
